Most towns that hold a street market gain from out of town custom. How about occupying some of the parking bays within Fore St for the Market stalls? | Posted on Sat 15/05/10 07:30 PM |
Why not close off Fore st. once a month and have a market or, alternatively, how about using Victoria park.21 months after this item was first posted and there still hasnt been a market, where does the chamber stand on this? | Posted on Thu 22/03/12 03:08 PM |
If we had a market in town there would certainly be a lot more interest for me to remain over here and not having to go to Plymouth for that fresh and friendly atmosphere. Also once I have enough stock of my Handmade Jewellery maybe ask if it would be possible to have a stall of my own? Anyone know whether these posts even get ready? I am wondering the same as the previous person as to where this has gone and whether we will indeed have our own Saturday market to be proud of. | Posted on Sun 27/05/12 12:01 PM |
I'm a great fan of this idea and would be happy to support this - a market once a month in the town would bring in visitors and would grow over time. | Posted on Tue 13/05/14 02:37 PM |
We do now have our indoor Community Market at the bottom of Fore Street - and there is fresh produce there every day, as well as assorted craft stalls and a repair and alteration service. On the first Friday of each month, it is given over entirely to Local Produce - meat, fish, fruit and veg, honey, eggs, apple juice etc. | Posted on Thu 26/06/14 11:18 AM |
Diverse Events with STIG backing are organising monthly street markets starting on the first Saturday of October - will ask them to pop some info on here | Posted on Sat 13/09/14 08:43 AM |
Love the idea of a street markets and special ones inc Christmas. Good for town for locals and to bring others into town to see what we can offer. | Posted on Tue 16/09/14 07:18 AM |
Can we look into little buses bringing in villagers once a week from Landrake, St Dominic etc? | Posted on Sun 05/10/14 01:46 PM |
